Come celebrate summer on the lake at Chestermere’s Annual Water Festival at John Peake Park!

Water Festival is the City of Chestermere's annual celebration of summer on the lake! Visitors are able to wander through the artisan market to the sounds of the Summer Music Showcase, enjoy a  beer or glass of wine in the Lions Beer Garden, laugh with their children at kids’ entertainer Captain Jack  in the Kids Fun Zone. Families are also able to join in the Rubber Duck Race and Free Boat Rides. The day ends with the music of this year's headliner  "The Chemical Cowboys" and the breathtaking fireworks display on Chestermere Lake!

2015 Schedule of Events

11:00 am 
Wakeboard Competition sponsored by Hyperactive Watersports
  • Registration "day of event" at the Hyperactive Trailer starting at 10:00am   
  • The competition will take place on the north side of the Lake.

Kids Fun Zone
The event closes at 4:00 pm. Activities include:
Kids Zone

  • Bounce Houses        
  • Velcro & Climber Wall   
  • Face Painting
  • Super Slide 
  • Obstacle Course
  • Kiddie Striker
  • Games
  • Captain Jack's Performance at 1:30pm

Lake Tours

  • Tours begin at 12:00 noon at  Chestermere Landing dock side at the Hyperactive Watersports Boat House (on the East side of the bridge) and run every 20 minutes until 4:00pm. Accepting donations for the Chestermere Food Bank.   

Artisan Market 
  • Visit the various  vendors in our Artisan Market and Food Truck Line
  • Located in John Peake Park       
  • Ends at 4:00 pm

12:00 noon
Beer Gardens hosted by Chestermere Lions Club.
  • White wine at the Beer Gardens
  • Bar closes at 10:00 pm and the gardens close at 11:00 pm 
  • Located in John Peake Park

1:00 pm 
Summer Music Showcase  Redneck Regatta

2:00 pm
Water Festival Wipeout
  • The Water Festival Wipeout will have participants run, bounce or splash their way through a floating obstacle course on Chestermere Lake made of trampolines, slides, paddle boards, and more. The Wipeout will begin at 2pm with a corporate challenge followed by anyone over 18 who wants to give the course a whirl.   
  • Those interested in competing can sign up on the day at the SurfsUp  tent near the lake. 

3:00 pm
Redneck Regatta

 Come grab a giant, floating rubber duck and a paddle and be the first to maneuver your improvised floating device back to the dock!

4:00 pm

Rubber Duck Race

  • Ducks cost $5 and all proceeds go to support Synergy Group  in Chestermere.
  • Registration located in John Peake Park  at the Synergy booth
  •  Race will take place at Rainbow Falls

10:30 pm

  • Limited parking available in John Peake Park
  • The fireworks display will be discharged from a floating barge on the northside of the lake, we ask all boaters to remain on the south side of the lake for safety reasons.
